I like to play slowly, and feel every note – it comes from every part of my body and my heart and into my fingers. In a 1967 interview with Record Mirror, the man himself put it best: “It doesn’t mean a thing, playing fast. During his brief tenure with the Bluesbreakers and his three years and three studio albums with Fleetwood Mac, he was on a mission to continually develop his songwriting, style and sound and it’s from this era that we’ve picked our 20 greatest guitar moments. He rarely ever played the same thing the same way twice and used doublestops, unison bends and even passing notes sparingly, preferring to rely on the mix of major and minor pentatonic for variety.
